Level up in 2022
Have you been telling yourself that this year is the year that you would finally level up? Do you finally want to level up more than ever in 2022 and beyond? Here in this blog post am going to share 5 things to do to level up for the year 2022, Most of the prompts here are what I do ask myself whenever am preparing for the year and I hope it will guide you the way it had to guide me in 2021 and beyond while becoming the main character in your story!
A reminder that this is something you do not have to start at the beginning of the month, personally I do this the week of my birthday which is November or February of 2022 as I do not like planning in the month of January; so I encourage you to start today, right now!
Why do I say you should start planing now? One thing I have learned over the years is that the longer you take action to level, the longer we postponed things as our minds keep weighing the pros and cons. you keep giving excuses on why you should not and your priority kind of changes then later in the future you are now having regret.
Without further ado, let dive straight and sunshine-ish into the five ways to level up in 2022
Setting a theme for your day is a way to level up
The first way to level up in the new year is by setting one “1” theme for your day, never I repeat never set more than one theme for that day.
A theme here is not a blueprint of your day, but a word of what you want to feel at the end of the day in just a word, it could be “Happy” “Consistent” “Present” and so many other words.
I recommend setting a theme for your day before setting out on your action list for the day.
Journalling your way in life, can help you set the theme for the day. You can learn more about the power of journaling
Figuring out your limit, eliminating and re-framing them
Figuring out your limit when it comes to what you believe in or your mindset can be difficult as your mind tries to trick you. It took me a while to figure out what I was limiting myself by believing in certain things or doing certain things this way and that way.
The problem is that you would sabotage yourself with your thoughts without even realizing it.
Do you ever see someone succeeding in something that YOU WANT TO DO and think to yourself, “Wow, that must be pretty cool, but that will never be me?”
That thought right there is limiting belief right. This thought is impeding your ability to move forward and pursue the dreams that would allow you to level up.
There are many limiting beliefs that we are all guilty of, and I am still working on reframing my mindset on a daily basis as reframing your mindset can be a long process.
Instead of thinking, “That will never be me,” try thinking, “If they can do it, that means I can do it, and how can I accomplish that?” Because the more you believe in your abilities, the more motivated you will be to achieve your ambitions and level up this year.
Spend some time writing down the limiting beliefs that are holding you back, and then reframe those thoughts into a positive, motivating statement. Allow yourself to begin showing up on a daily basis as the person who feels in alignment with what you are attempting to manifest.
Build consistency & self discipline
Setting a goal isn’t difficult, but making sure you don’t forget about it, is difficult. Therefore, when it comes to levelling up this year, we have to make sure to build consistency and self-discipline because, over the years, I’ve noticed that people aren’t achieving their goals for the following reasons:
- They are not self-disciplined.
- The intensity of the goal they set overwhelms them.
The key here is to develop self-discipline, which will allow you to be consistent, as consistency ensures that you are showing up for yourself, allowing you to gain more clarity and identify your weaknesses as you are planning for ways to level up this year 2022.
Self-discipline is extremely important in remembering your goal when levelling up because it allows you to
- Understand your flaws
- Recognize your areas of difficulty.
- Clearly define your goal.
- Make a clear and strategic goal.
So, how do we achieve consistency? By establishing attainable goals! When you set reasonable goals and work on them one set at a time, you have a better chance of achieving them.
So, how do we achieve self-discipline? By identifying your obstacle, monitoring your progress, being accountable and showing up yourself while making sure your ambitions are all up in your face.
Let go of what you can’t control
While learning to let go of things you can’t control and making sure to limit them when setting your goal is very important, it can be exhausting thinking of what to let go of.
When you have to let go are those goals in which the power is completely out of your control as letting go allow you to begin to feel a weight lifted from your soul. Trying to control something that you do not have control of can lead to exhaustion, disappointment, and a sense of unfulfillment.
Have time for yourself to renew your energy & visualize your goal
Energy, a positive one is a huge game changer and getting started on having that kind of energy is very important, but when you are feeling sluggish, it can be difficult to even get the energy you need to do the things that would make the biggest difference in your goal.
There are so many ways to boost your energy, maintain one and cultivate that one, but the most important thing is you be in the centre of it all, always putting yourself into any action that would boost your energy.
When it comes to visualization, one of the best ways to visualize is by seeing you in that goal, surrounding yourself with positive energy while visualizing what it feels like to achieve that goal or what you have to do to achieve that goal.
Set a time in your life to visualize while in your best element, personally; I do well when am watching a particular Asian drama or reading a particular book as it allows me to see beyond what it is my from, others have sworn by visualizing while meditating or during a yoga session
